The Central Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting the inaugural Red Cross Billiards Championship at Player’s Billiards and Café in Panama City starting Saturday, July 19.

Qualifying rounds will be every Saturday from July 19 until Aug. 9, with the championship round on Sunday, Aug. 10.

Everyone is eligible to enter.

Winners can take home up to $1,000.

Space is limited, so contact the Red Cross at 763-6587.

For all you billiards players, good or bad, young or old, this is a great reason to support the Red Cross. All proceeds will go to the organization, which doesn’t receive government funding.

The Central Panhandle Chapter, which covers Bay, Jackson, Gulf, Washington, Holmes and Calhoun counties, responds to a disaster once every three days. It relies on the public’s support to provide quality and reliable assistance to those in need in times of need.
