Derrick Harvey, the 2007 BCS National Championship Game defensive MVP, reached an agreement today with the Jacksonville Jaguards for a five-year, $23.8 million contract, ending a 33-day holdout.

Harvey was the eighth selection in April’s NFL Draft and was the last first-round draft pick to sign a contract.

Harvey joins former Gator Reggie Nelson on Jacksonville’s defense.
