
John Parker Wilson’s 205 passing yards and a touchdown on just three incompletions in Alabama’s upset win over then-No. 3 Georgia earned the quarterback the Southeastern Conference’s offensive player of the week.
Mississippi safety Jamarca Sanford was named the defensive player of the week. He had 11 tackles, in-cluding four solos in an upset of then-No. 4 Florida on Saturday.
South Carolina kicker Ryan Succop won the league’s special team’s honor, Kentucky tackle Garry Wil-liams was the offensive lineman of the week and Auburn defensive end Antonio Coleman was the league’s weekly defensive lineman award recipient.
LSU QB Jarrett Lee was the freshman of the week.
