What's the Fuss?

From Florida Gators football to Gulf Coast basketball to high school athletics and everything inbetween

Saturday’s a big day for the SEC

By time we all go to bed Saturday night, one half of the BCS National Championship Game can be decided.

If Florida defeats Vanderbilt, the Gators will represent the SEC East in the SEC Championship Game, Dec. 6 in Atlanta.

And if Alabama defeats LSU, the Crimson Tide clinch the West and will also play in the SEC Championship Game.

If both teams win Saturday and win out, there’s an outside chance they can either be No. 1 and 2 in the BCS. What’s more likely is that they’ll be in the Top 3 or 4, meaning that whoever wins the SEC title will most likely be playing for the national title come Jan. 8.
