The Football Championship Subdivision playoffs bracket was unveiled Sunday. Just thought I’d pass it along and let you, the college football fan readers, see for yourself what it would look like and how neat a FBS playoff could be.

Sweet dreams.

One can only hope that someday soon the championship game for college football will be decided on the field of play instead of on a piece of paper.
Almost every year it’s the same thing, some deserving team is left out because of politics. They set this bowl system up years ago and are afraid to change it because the money has grown so large. IMHO, if they would have a playoff system, the money that comes in would far outstrip the money that they take in with the present system. It would rival the money being made in the Superbowl, with every play-in game sold out and bidding wars for the advertizing created. Right now we get weeks of ho-hum games and then many of the key games played opposite of each other. A ridiculous set-up, terrible for the fans and an ineffective marketing ploy if they want to maximize profits. But it allows the NCAA executives and a lot of upper management college personal to play the bigshot, so we are stuck with mediocrocy instead of a playoff system.
